RITUAL FOR LUGHNASADH
At Ancient Mysteries, 209 E. Ben White, Suite 202, in Austin
We celebrate Lughnasadh (also called Lammas), the sabbat of the first harvest, with this intention shaping our magic:
We
claim our power as warriors of the heart by accepting responsibility
for the harvest we see around us, and for the harvest we envision.
The
ritual magic will include energy and trance work. Children are welcome,
but if you are thinking of bringing a child or children please be aware
that the content of this ritual will probably not engage young
children.
We'll meet inside at Ancient Mysteries, 209 E. Ben
White, Suite 202. (Go east on the Ben White feeder road just east of the
intersection with
Congress, and take the next turn right into the parking lot AFTER the
turn into
Brake Check.)
Doors will open for the ritual starting at 6:40.
(Please note that the shop closes at 6pm on this date; it will not be
open for business when you arrive for the ritual.)
Please bring:
- something to sit on (a cushion or camp chair)
- water or what you want to drink (no alcohol, please)
- if you wish, objects for the Lughnasadh altar: what harvest do you hope to create, for yourself, your community, the earth?
We will provide and share simple food in community within the ritual circle, in sacred space. There will
not be a potluck feast after the ritual.
Admission
to Tejas Web rituals is free, but donations to support the work and
magic of Tejas Web are very gratefully accepted. Please respect that all
our events are drug- and alcohol-free.

SAMHAIN AWAKENING
With Raven Edgewalker and Crow Walker
"We are here to awaken from our illusion of separateness." Thich Nhat Hanh
We are unique individual beings, and we are an essential part of a
larger whole. To embrace this paradox is to awaken from the epidemic of
disconnection that plagues our world. True conscious connection begins
with the heart. Opening our hearts, we deepen and strengthen our
connections with our humanity. We deepen and strengthen our connections
in community with other humans, with the other beings around us, and at
this Samhain-tide with the Ancestors and the Otherworld.
In this workshop we will explore our inner borderlands--our tender and
joyful edges--as well as the borderlands between the worlds. We aim to
step forward, to commit to active presence and conscious co-creation of
the universe. To be active and present with, and conscious of,
connection.
To help us do this, we plan to explore the power of the word--the
language we use and the stories we tell ourselves and each other. We
will inspire and conspire with the magic of breath. We will gaze into
the mirror and notice the ways in which we reflect each other. We will
make art, dance, sing, and express the music our hearts long to make
individually and together. We invite you to join us, and to answer the
call of awakening in ritual among the trees and beneath the stars.
