Join Tejas Web for a celebration of Samhain, the Witches' New Year. Our intention for this ritual is to seek the wisdom of the Ancestors, and to free ourselves for new beginnings. We will name the beloved dead who have passed over since last Samhain, journey in trance to encounter the Ancestors, and dance the Spiral Dance.
Arrive between 7 and 7:30 to visit altars for the Ancestors and for the Descendants, our hope for the future.
Bring:
o objects you want to put on the Ancestor altar, to honor and remember your Dead
o an item of non-perishable food or clothing to be donated to Safe Place (http://www.safeplace.org)
o an item to share for the potluck feast after the ritual--finger foods are encouraged
o your own plate or bowl, cup and cutlery for feasting (so we won't have to use paper)
Dress for the weather. Witchy Samhain garb and glamour encouraged!
Admission: FREE, but love gifts are gratefully accepted to support the magic of Tejas Web and the art of The VORTEX. (Donations are tax deductible.)
Parental discretion and supervision required, for there will be trance and open fire as part of the ritual.
